Power Drafting Tools
Ladder Diagrams
Single Line Diagrams
Power drafting tools make placing intelligent electrical symbols a breeze. Symbols are easily manipulated and build relations to what they are connected to meaning they react and move when changes are made to the layout.
Detailing digital control circuits showing how power supply to electrical components is controlled, placement of multi-rung ladder type diagrams is possible in one click.
Detailing power supplies and loads used to analyse power consumption and load usage and sharing, plus potential fault currents, single line diagrams are straight forward to draw.
Three Line Diagrams
Cable Block Diagrams
Sub-circuit Management – Assemblies
Used for fault finding and wiring of loads, construction of three line diagrams combing various symbol sets selected from vendor catalogues is quick and easy.
Outlining the various components and connections within a cable system or network, cable block diagrams can be quickly defined.
Save time and effort placing multi-symbol arrangements using assemblies. Where the same arrangement already exists in a drawing, ensure everything is uniquely tagged and labelled by adjusting/incrementing before placing the assembly into the drawing.
Error Checking to Find and Eliminate Duplicate Data & Tags
Automatic PLC I/O Cards with PLC Module Builder
Automatic Wiring & Terminal Strip Diagrams
Being data driven it is easy to find and eliminate duplicate data and tags by querying the data associated with symbols in a connected database.
PLC I/O connects the brain of the PLC, the CPU, to the outside world, the machines being controlled. Place I/O cards with ease using the PLC Module Builder.
Detailing cable and wire connection to strips of terminals inside Panels or Junction boxes, and wire connections between devices in any panel, used to assist in connecting all terminals and devices in a panel, wiring and terminal strip diagrams can be automatically generated from the information in the database.
Automatic Materials tables
Cable Scheduler Module
Automatic Project-wide Changes to Library & Symbol Properties
Automatic creation of Bills of Materials and cross-reference tables for the components in a project, where each major block of a table represents a component type with the quantity of that component that has been used in the project, is efficient and accurate.
Cable Scheduler is an SQL database tool for managing your plant or
project cabling. It manages creation, integration with upstream
circuits, termination, routing, and materials. Cables can be directly added to the project database via Cable Scheduler, without CAD operations being necessary, saving time and effort.
Data-driven Reports
Export of Project Drawing Set to DGN or PDF
Saving time and ensuring data consistency and accuracy, changes to electrical component data and symbol properties can be edited on a global basis across the project and in the database.
Client Specific Libraries and Settings
Comprehensive reports for all aspects of the electrical design is possible from a connected and synchronised project database.
Collaboration with project stakeholders and for handover to clients is possible by exporting the project drawing set to other commonly distributed editable and non-editable file formats.
Run Setup at any time to adjust the configuration of your project, including CAD package path, working directory, button font and metric/imperial settings. Setup also allows access to CADWorx Electrical and CADWorx Instrumentation Preferences, Directory Settings, User-administration, and Catalogue settings.
